I used to be naïve.
I used to think monsters didn’t exist.
I used to think I was safe, untouchable, and free from harm.
Boy was I wrong...
My name is Whitney, and I used to think my old life was mediocre and boring. I thought I was missing out on something exciting. Now that Linc has shown me how dark and twisted life can be, I’d go back in a heartbeat...
This is book 1 in an upcoming 3 book dark erotic standalone series!

We went outside and I sat on the patio stairs, staring out at the ocean. I wasn’t able to comprehend everything that had just transpired. My whole life had turned into one giant mess. I had thought I was happy back in Massachusetts. I had a man who loved me, a brother who loved me, a mom who loved me in her own unique way, and a future. Now? I had no idea what to look forward to. I didn’t think I’d be able to take it there much longer. I didn’t think I’d be able to see a future there, but now that everything had been taken away from me, I didn’t know what to do.

“Rebel, I know this may be a lot to take in, but I would never betray you the way he did. Whatever you thought you had with him was a lie. Stay with me and I’ll give you the bright future you deserve. You can work, or stay home and breed my children. I don’t normally do that for my pets, but you mean a lot to me.”
It was awkward seeing such a gentler side to the beast. What he offered was not what I truly wanted. I didn’t want to be stuck there as someone’s breeding machine. I wanted to be free and love someone who truly loved me, not captured me and blinded me with torture and love, conflicting every thought inside of me and making me question my own sanity.
“I need to think.”
“Take your time,” he said, placing a kiss on my lips before he turned on his heels and walked back into the house. I continued to look out into the ocean; the sky wasn’t as bright as the first day I was out there. It was dull and gloomy, matching the way I felt on the inside.

Linc was furious to find out someone had infiltrated his home while he was away on business. He was even more pissed off to find out Rebel had run off again, but he didn’t believe she’d done it on her own this time. He saw the way she looked at him; it was different, with more love in her eyes. The will to leave was slowly dissipating. He knew his wife must have had a hand in it somehow, and he was going to beat the answer out of her.

Tom Carter
Kicked out at fifteen for being gay, Tom survived by selling his body on the streets. Four years later, Tom, now nineteen, doesn’t know how long he can continue living this life.
One night while out working, Tom sees a face from his past, one he had long forgotten. One he had used to fantasise about.
Sebastian Banks
Afraid of the reaction he will receive, Tom runs away hoping never to see him again. But Seb had other ideas.
Seb Banks
At twenty-five, Seb’s life is going exactly the way he had wanted. Having worked hard at University, Seb has been offered a permanent contract at a local solicitor.
While driving to a friend’s house to celebrate, Seb is shocked to find Tom, someone he hasn’t seen in years, on the streets, selling himself.
Feeling an overwhelming need to help Tom, Seb tracks him down and offers him a way out.
Is Tom willing to take a chance on Seb and accept his offer, or will his distrust of everyone from his past cause him to push Seb away?
Dodging a group of people who were already drunk, as they stumbled out of Via, Tom continued towards the end of Canal Street before heading towards Piccadilly Gardens. Not the safest of areas but one he knew well, and he knew the people who worked there both male and female.
As he was walking along, a car pulled up beside him. Tom turned towards the car and plastered a fake smile on his face as he walked over to the window. Leaning over, he saw who it was. "For fuck's sake!" he muttered. "What do you want?" he asked as he pushed away from the car.
Seb parked up and got out, leaving the door open. "What? You working?"
"Actually, yeah I am, and you're scaring away all the punters, so fuck off!"
Seb grabbed him and shouted, "No, I won't." He took a deep breath. "I won't let you walk away again. I want to help. I'm not like your parents, and it doesn't have to be like this. You don't have to sell yourself. I don't know what it's been like for you, but there has to be something better than this."
What. The. Fuck! "No, you don't know what it's been like for me!" screamed Tom. "My parents, they threw me out like yesterday's rubbish, they didn't give a shit. I was fifteen, man, how the hell was I supposed to look after myself? There's nothing better for someone like me, so just leave me the fuck alone!"
"No, I can't just walk away knowing what you're doing. Explain it to me. Why this, Tom? Why turn to this?" Seb asked him with genuine interest shining from his brown eyes.
Tom spun away from Seb, looking at his feet while running his hands through his hair, as he paced back and forth in front of him. Talking about his choice to sell himself wasn't a conversation he wanted to be having, but fuck, he'd made the best he could with what he had, which was nothing. He turned back to Seb as he looked up into the night sky. Closing his eyes, Tom inhaled deeply, holding the air in his lungs. How could he explain why he had resorted to selling himself? What could he say?
Tom glanced at Seb and exhaled. "I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, your brother's mate, the rent boy, the whore, taking money for blow jobs or back alley fucks." Tom paused and looked at Seb. "I look in the mirror and see who I am, what I've become to pay for food, the occasional roof over my head. I wish things could have been different. I wish they'd accepted me for who I am." Tom shrugged. "I should have known they'd never accept their son as gay." Tom laughed bitterly. "Do you know they never even let me get my stuff from my room? I left with the clothes on my back and money from my Saturday job. That was it. That first night on the streets, I didn't know who to turn to or where to go." Tom shook his head. "Do you think I want to be gay? Do you think I would choose this life?"
"Tom, I'm—"
"Save it, Seb. Whatever you're gonna say, don't," Tom muttered quietly.

Author: Cole McCade
Genre: Dark Erotica/Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 27, 2017

Blurb

There are worse things in life than loving a man who hates you.

Unfortunately, Walford Gallifrey can’t think of many.

Ever since a ghost from his past kidnapped his niece, Willow (THE FOUND, Crow City #2), Wally’s life has been nothing but grief, turmoil, and loss. With no idea if Willow is dead or alive, Wally’s only comfort is in caring for his grieving brother-in-law and Willow’s father, Joseph Armitage. For the past twenty years, Wally has never hoped to be anything but the backdrop to Joseph’s life; between marrying Wally’s sister and decades of mistakes building walls of enmity and resentment between them, Joseph has been firmly cemented in Wally’s mind as unattainable.

But the pain of Willow’s loss forces them to face the demons sleeping between them, find common ground—and more. Together, they explore mutual grief. Shared memories. Quiet respect. Warmth. Camaraderie. The joy of learning to live again.

And an unspoken attraction, buried beneath the scars of hurtful words and terrible missteps.

Yet even as they work through the thorns and tangles of old wounds, Joseph has his own struggles to face. The struggle to leave his ex-wife in the past. To let his daughter go. And to trust Wally to love him, to see him as more than just his multiple sclerosis, when so many have treated him as less than a man. The only way forward for them both is forgiveness. Trust.

And a second chance to discover what it means, to truly be in love.

Note: This novel, while a standalone, follows in the aftermath of the events of THE FOUND (Crow City #2), and ties in to the events of THE SAVED (Crow City #2.5), which detail--respectively--the events of Willow's kidnapping and Walford’s prior relationship with her kidnapper, Vincent Manion.

Author Bio

Cole McCade is a New Orleans-born Southern boy without the Southern accent, currently residing somewhere in Seattle. He spends his days as a suit-and-tie corporate consultant and business writer, and his nights writing contemporary romance and erotica that flirts with the edge of taboo—when he’s not being tackled by two hyperactive cats.

He also writes genre-bending science fiction and fantasy tinged with a touch of horror and flavored by the influences of his multiethnic, multicultural, multilingual background as Xen Sanders. He wavers between calling himself bisexual and calling himself queer, but no matter what word he uses he’s a staunch advocate of LGBTQIA and POC representation and visibility in genre fiction. And while he spends more time than is healthy hiding in his writing cave instead of hanging around social media, you can generally find him in these usual haunts.
