Malcolm has to keep people at arms length because if they get too close bad things happen. It's not some sort of joke just the simple truth, people get depressed around him and if they hang out around him too long it gets really bad. Rae has the same problem just a little different. She makes people happy, physo happy, and they get addicted to her so much so that shes had to move 8 times in just 5 years. Her first day at her new school however is turning out different from every other time. This book is all about what happens in one day where things for both Malcolm and Rae are different from every other day they've ever had. They get a chance to see what normal could be like, but before they get too comfortable trouble brews and they realize it'll take allot for them to be able to be together and enjoy their freedom. This is the for of the two part series and it is mostly a lead up to the big action that we'll get to see take place in book 2.

Jen is a genie and goes around to people who have earned enough Karma points and grants them three wishes. There are allot of rules in the genie world and one of the biggest is genie can't hang around each other but when Leo, a male (hottie) genie, comes to Jen asking for her help clearing his father of a crime he didn't commit she decides to to what she can to help.
Loved this story lately everything is about vampires and witches so seeing something about Genie's is a nice change. I enjoyed seeing Jen's innermonologue and how no matter what she is always true to herself. Leo was such a sweetie and I loved his faith and loylaty in his father even when everyone else was against him. The secendary characters created a great balance as well and I loved the interactions between everyone.

Pearl is unique and she's been used because of it since she was a little girl. When she finally runs away she comes to Mermaid Beach, California there she begins to truely live and finally understand who she really is.
This story was unique in it's type of supernatual characters which is great when your tired of reading about the same old things with every book. I had fun seeing Pearl learn who she is as a person and learn to trust herself and other people when she has had such a hard life before escaping it. Chase had his ups and downs but in the end his choices and me love him even when there were times I just wanted to slap him upside his head.
This is the first in what will surely be a great series. I'm excited to read more about this world and it's characters.

Fallen Angels are so much fun to read about this one kept you guessing right till the end. Loved Naomi and her feisty attitude and how she could put Lash in his place even while she was secreatly enchanted by him. Lash had his ups and downs but he's the kinda guy you root for through and through.
The Emerald Talisman by Brenda Pandos

Ok so I know you've been reading the reviews for the other books in this boxed set and you saw me raving about enjoying something different from vampires and witches. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good vampire book and I loved this one, plus it had some GREAT twists!
Since her mothers disipearance when she was 5 years old, she doesn't remember what what happened even though she was there. Ever since then though she's been able to since peoples emotions. When she runs out of gas one night she decides to walk the last mile home......through a forest at night. Of course something doesn't go right with that sineraio and she meets Nicholas. He's different from anyone she's ever met and his presence is calming compaired to most people, but what secrets is he hiding?
Nicholas was such a lost soul and throughout all I wanted was for him to be able to live life a little more normally and with Julia you root for them to get their chance. Loved seeing Julia grow throughout and had fun watching the banter between her and her brother.
This is the first of a trilogy all parts are already avalible and we all know that's an awsome perk.

Salem has been following her favorite band all summer waiting for her chance to be with the lead singer of the band. When her shot finally arrives everything goes wrong and she wakes up in a dumpster rembering nothing of what happened or how she got there. Suddenly something is happening to her and the only one with answers is roadie, Trevor.
Trevor was on and off but once you found out his past and how he's gotten to where he is you understand what he's doing touring with Malice. He was a great male lead coming to Salems rescue over and over and I LOVED him for it. Salem might have been a bit níaive, but once she decided on something she stuck to her guns and more props to her for it.
This is the first in a new series and the second is out now!!
Loved this boxed set it's a great price for an awesome set of books
