The Protectors by Teresa Gabelman

A grin played across her lips. She wiggled a little, surprised by her own actions. Was this the old Pam coming out? Was Duncan bringing her back to herself again?

Damon (The Protectors #1)

Nicole has been helping kids vampire and human alike with her job as a social worker for years. But recently with the influx for vampire children and people wanting the high of Crimson Rush (vampire blood) her job has gotten harder and now she's become a target. Damon and other Guardians are there to train the them in self defense but with Nicole being directly being threatened she requires 24/7 guard, but as the two spend more and more time together their attraction ignites and if they can't figure out who's after Nicole everything between them could be over before it starts.

Nicole is strong and feisty I loved her character and how she took no prisoners when she wanted something. She heart is huge she cares so much for everyone weather it's "her kids" or her friends she would do anything to protect them even if it meant risking herself.

Damon is an alpha male but he's a stubborn one at that. He'll do anything to protect Nicole even from himself. He is caring and thoughtful towards her even when he was trying to push her away. Their push pull relationship drove me nuts at times but it made the story all the better.

I loved the interaction between all the characters and how they kept things light even when things got tough. The story keeps you interested and it's not just a romance but so much more. There's mystery and suspense and the vampire element in there was great. My only annoyance was that I wished there was more in depth info about the vampire element. Overall great read and a great start to a new series.

Jared (The Protectors, #2)

The mate thing is for fools don't get him wrong he's happy for Damon, but seriously? An extra special bond between two people, yea right. Right? That's what Jared thought but even attempting to deny his attraction to the feisty redhead who tied him to a chair is pointless, but can it really be this mate thing?

Tessa's only concern is doing whatever is takes to protect her brother, but can she trust Jared to help her? Their attraction is growing, but with hell beacking loose around them can they really have a chance at being together?

I thought Nicole was awsome but Tessa is great too. I love these strong female leads who will do anything for what their passionate about. Right away you can see how much Tess loves her brother by how he's willing to do anything to protect and help him.

Jared is another hard headed alpha male but I loved seeing him get put in his place by the firey Tessa. The humor between the two helped keep things light even when things were tough and this one kept me laughing throughout.

The story evolves from book 1 and bring you even more into this world and keeps you interested throughout. I'm definitely hooked on this series and recomend it to everyone who love this genre.

Duncan (The Protectors, #3)

Our 5 Star Review

3 Months later and Pam is still in hiding and Duncan is wasting away desperate to find her. Duncan knows he should have protected her better, but know he'll do anything just to know where she is and that she's safe.

Pam knows if Kenny ever finds her she's done, but with a secret hanging over her she contacts Nicole for help. Of course things don't go quite according to plan, now Pam has to decide if she can truly trust Duncan and the others to help her and keep her safe from Kenny.

With action and surprises around every corner you never know what's gonna happen next. I loved see what was really going on with Pam and big tuff guy Duncan scrambling to figure out what to do with his woman. Seeing the stories continue of everyone else as well and meeting new people in this world you feel more a part of it than ever. I loved the differing POV's not just Pam and Duncan, but the others that give you an outside perspective and also allow you to see more of them as well.

So much going on in this one and I loved every minute of it. You feel like you're right there with them laughing, crying, happy, sad, trying to figure out what's going on, and pissed off with them.

And then there's our favorite cocky Sid I can't wait to see his fall from bachelorhood, and the woman that gives him a run for his money!

Sid (The Protectors #4)

5 Stars

Oh how the mighty will fall!!! Sid has given every guy on the team crap for finding women and being wrapped around their fingers, but now it's his turn and he's getting his just dues in spades! With the human trafficking problem growing worse Sid finds himself leading the case and he's got a fiesty woman busting his chops at every turn. Finding out she's a cop is just the icing on the cake.

Lana has a gift, one she uses to help her with her cases. But when things go south on an undercover job she finds herself indebted(not that she'd ever admit it) to Sid.

He's sex on a stick, but he's also a smart mouthed man whore, one she knows she won't be able to keep her hands off for long, but will it be one great night in the sack or will there be something more?

I LOVE this series and with each book we see more of the storyline while also seeing the characters find the person who makes them happy. We see Sid knocked off his pedistool, but we also see more of everyone else we've come to love in the previous books as well as get glimpses of who might be getting their HEA next.

Adam
(The Protectors #5)

5 Stars

She's happily married to another man, or so Adam saw when he finally found his Angel. He's trying to move on and work on his training with the VC, but there are some things you just can't let go. Espically after Jill and some of the others start poking holes in what he thought he saw that day.

Jill thought they busted the human trafficking ring on the mission where she was forced to take her cloths off, but now they are finding out there's even more people out there determined to kidnap other people just for money and their other selfish desires.

I love how these stories are not just about one couple and you get to see glimpses of everyone. Also the storyline continues to grow with each novel making you more and more excited to get your hands on the next one so you can see what will happen next.
