Synopsis
Recent graduate Becca Stine’s all to perfect and predictable life went spiraling out of control when her supposed childhood friend committed the ultimate betrayal. Following college, Becca attempts to bury the pain by retreating into a dangerous lifestyle with her best friend, Jamie Rae. She decides it’s time to grow up after being irresponsible, broken, and out of control. To Becca’s horror, her only option is to return to her hometown of Grand Rapids. Worried she will forever live in the shadow of her prominent family’s notability, Becca decides moving is her only opportunity to get her feet back on the ground. With her best friend in tow, Becca reluctantly heads home to attempt to live her ideal life.
Little does Becca know the owner of the architecture firm she lands a job with has an intriguingly mysterious son. Tyler Conklin is infatuated with Becca, yet is apprehensive about a public relationship because of his hidden baggage. Not wanting anyone to know about his slight obsession with her, their potential relationship must be kept a secret. Will Becca put up with Tyler’s untold story for long? Will she tolerate being his secret?

Becca saw the last thing any girl ever wants to see. Her best friend in HER bed with HER boyfriend!!!! Taking a year off after finishing college to have fun with her real best friend they set off to have fun in Florida. Now that a year has gone by it's time to grow up and start working with her architecture degree she find herself back in her home town Grand Rapids, Michigan working for the Conklin architecture firm.
When she meets the bosses brothers Nathan and Tyler she can't keep her focus off of Tyler and the same seems to be true for him too. Trying to figure out if what they have is a relationship, friendship or something else could just make her a little bit crazy.
Back in the city where her fathers influence is high, her ex-bff is getting married to her ex and her mother just can't keep from saying something about her "babyfat" every time she sees her. It has Becca wondering if she made the right choice in coming back to Michigan.
Will whatever it is with Tyler keep her here or push her further away?
Great introduction into this series and while is does end in a bit of cliffhanger, it's not one of those ripping your hair out "why did it stop there" endings. It ends in a great spot allowing you to excitedly await the next one.
