OUR THOUGHTS ON THE SERIES...

 

Lexi has been through a lot and doesn't want to let anyone get close to her because of it. When she and her best friend Megan start college Lexi tries not to fall back on old ways drinking so much she doesn't know whose bed she wakes up in, in the mornings.

Kole a friend from her childhood sees her at a frat party and is fascinated by her immediately, and as Lexi continues to push him away he becomes more enthralled. Lexi is scarred to let him in but if she can it may help her to finally heal. But as she finally begins to trust him the past may ruin everything.

This was an intense love story touching on some very difficult topics. Lexi tries so hard just to survive after everything she went through. And Kole's persistance to win over Lexi was so sweet.

Desired Affliction is beautifully written.

In the conclusion to Lexi and Kole's story, Desired Affliction 2, we find them 3 years down the road in their relationship. They are trying to continue moving forward in their lives together, and learning to remember to trust each other when life throws surprises their way. There are good times and bad times, sadness and great joy. I loved seeing their relationship grow to new highs as they started on the path to spending the rest of their lives together.

I loved Lexi's strength, love, and trust in Kole. And Kole's complete devotion to his girl puts him on my list of awesome book boyfriends.

I also enjoyed seeing Megan and her caveman again, and Megan's humor throughout lightens up some uncomfortable bits.

All of C.A. Harms books are amazing and this one is no exception.
