Harper, a famous designer, is close to thirty but instead of her happily ever after she's watching her little brother have his. But sometimes fate works in weird ways and through Carter and his fiance Elle she meets Maverick.
First impressions can mean everything and Mav just screwed it up with the gorgeous brunette in his office. There's something that just calls to him about Harper and he's gonna have to work to get that first impression wiped outta her mind.
Harper is sweet and caring, she went through some difficulties a few years ago but she rose above it all and got herself to a better place. She's strong and determined and when she sees an opportunity for something good she takes a chance.
Mav works on his own schedule, he doesn't care what anyone else says if things are good for him that's what matters. He's an alpha male with a big heart and throughout the story you see how much he cares. He's rational and won't let others mess with his mind if they tell him something, he looks at things on his own and makes an opinion on his own.
The two may clash at times, but you can see how perfectly matched they are. There's so much sweetness to these two you can get a toothache at times, but it makes the story all the more enjoyable. There's conflict of course, and I loved seeing how they worked things out. Sweet story read well as a standalone or as part of the series if you wanna read about Carter and Elle first.
