Bound to the Fallen by Stevie J. Cole

Book Title: BOUND TO THE FALLEN
Author: Stevie J. Cole
Series: Prophecy Trilogy, Book One
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Synopsis:
Within all legends, within all myths, lies a glimmer of truth. . .

Since the beginning of time there have been stories of demons and tales of darkness; creatures that stalk our dreams. Beings we pray in reality will never touch us. It is easily forgotten that evil can be veiled by breathtaking beauty. After all, few things in this world are truly as they seem.

Brooke Davis was well aware that people can pretend to be someone they are not. She'd had several life experiences that had taught her that. When she met Gavin Hunter she thought she knew exactly what kind of man he was - but she couldn't have been more mistaken in her assumption.

Gavin Hunter was successful, dominate, and had an innate weakness for women. A weakness that if not controlled could lead to a dangerous attraction. To make certain that he remained in control he never pursued an innocent mortal. Until Brooke. The temptation she posed to him was a sin he could not deny, a pleasure he wanted to own. His desire for Brooke possessed him.

Brooke and Gavin quickly became entangled within a passionate love founded on deceptions. Not even the darkness could keep his secrets hidden forever, for it was only a matter of time before Gavin’s past would try to tear their love apart.

Prophecies can rarely be changed, fate seldom turns, and Brooke would soon find herself clinging to sins most would run from.

There was no escape. She had been bound the moment that he fell.

About the author:
Stevie J. Cole

Oh, so many things I could say... but I'll behave.

I grew up in the south listening to a ton of grunge rock. I was forced to pursue an "acceptable profession" by my parents. They refused to let me major in creative writing or theater because they were not "reliable professions".

When I hit 30 I decided to start a bucket list and publishing a book was on the top (followed shortly by meeting a certain celebrity).

So, here I am with my first novel and working on the second one. The journey of writing Bound to the Fallen has been amazing and allowed me to meet many wonderful individuals.

I hope if you read my work that you will enjoy it. After all, writing is the most amazing magic trick of all... it puts the reader in the mind of the writer (kind of creepy if you think about it).

I hope you love my little world as much as I do.

Xx- Stevie J

Our 4 Star Review

Brooke is starting her first "adult" job fresh outta college, if the interviewer is anything to go by she knows it might be tough working there but she's determined to do anything and everything to make it work. What Brooke wasn't expecting though was Dr. Gavin Hunter, she swore after her fathers cheating ways she'd never date a doctor but his allure is too strong to resist.

Gavin has walked the earth for a millennium bound to a never ending cycle of immortality because of his sin against man. He never thought someone would tempt him beyond his control, but he finds himself falling for Brooke regardless of how much he tried to stay away from her. But the secrets and the parts of himself he keeps hidden could mean the difference between their trust for each other or it could be what tears them apart.

The story starts off with a look at the very beginning of everything it intrigues you and makes you wonder just what is going on and how the story will play out. The paranormal aspects of this story did at times confuse me but the flow and keeps you entranced and makes you want to keep reading. There's love, lust, mystery, crazy coworkers, and even crazier friends and so much more. Regardless of what you're looking for there's a little bit of everything in this one and some BEYOND STEAMY scenes. Interesting start to a series I'll be looking for the next one for sure to see where it goes.

Bound by Sin (Prophecy 1.5)
Bound by Sin by Stevie J. Cole

Looking in the mirror, I see every physical feature that would make you believe I was a man, but it’s the attributes that you can’t see that make me what I really am. The things I’ve knowledge of, the sins against man that I’ve committed can be described as nothing other than selfish and cruel. I know the answers to things mankind has only fleeting guesses of. I live in the reality that this world has a part of it that is so dark it could only be believed to belong within the realms of a myth, a legend, or a fairytale.  Cast out of grace, made to become demons, and bound by an agreement the story of the Fallen is one that has been kept hidden for centuries. Although I could tell you every detail of how this world was created and recall each detail of history since time began, I cannot tell you if and how it all will end. Prophecies warned that a human emotion as capricious as love would rip all control from a Fallen and that ultimately this love would bring an end to all living things, but frankly, for all my existence I’d believed love was too weak an idea to ever bring something as powerful as myself to their knees. This is the tale of all darkness within this world; this is the story of my legend. Here is where it begins, and although I never believed it would have an end, it ended the same way it began – with a woman, but that’s another story in and of itself.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ever wonder how exactly he got to where he is? What were the events that brought Gavin to the place he is? This is his story. How he was tempted how he dealt and how he overcame.

I loved seeing the specifics of who Gavin really is and the events that defined him. This is a short novelette that shows how he was tempted and how he dealt with the life thrust upon him. Great companion read to Bound to the Fallen.
