 OUR 5 STAR RATINGLaney has always been one of the guys and always there for her is Evan. As they come to the end of their senior year they become more than friends. But when the unexpected happens and they don't get into college together can separation really help them? What's that saying absence makes the heart grow fonder? Yea it can also cause allot of grief. When Laney meets Dane the attraction is instant, but even though they "technically" broke up Laney can't help but feel like she is doing something wrong. But what happens when wrong feels so right? Who will she end up with and who will be hurt in the end. Laney is young and inexperienced in love but she knows all about temptation, so she does what she felt was right and that makes her kick ass in my book for being understanding enough to know when to accept the way things are. She's unsure of allot of things but she sticks to her guns. She a lead who's growing up and learning about life. Evan is such a sweetie and although he's far away you can feel his love for Laney. I think he didn't understand college life as well as he thought and let peer pressure get to him. But when it comes down to it you can see these childhood friends love each other. Dane is a smoking ball of hottnes and mystery and he can't shake his attraction for Laney, he knew she was something special the moment he met her. He won't go after another guys girl but she isn't taken and he doesn't want to let her get away. Wow oh wow this book doesn't just get a 5 outa 5 it gets a 10 and considering I've never done that before that's saying something. This is a story about growing up and learning to live life and understand love. I loved seeing all three POV's and they actually felt like they were three different people's minds. Allot of time you see a slight difference when there's switching POV's between a boy and girl in a novel but you still see the authors writing style no matter who's POV it is. In this one I could really feel the difference between each person and how they felt, it was really like getting in the mind of the character and I loved it!!!! Mostly told from Laney's POV you got to see into Evan and Dane's mind at just the right second when you start to question what was really going on in their heads. The novel was written BEAUTIFULLY flow and characters throughout were spot on. Great read excited to see more of this series. This is a MUST READ

So Emerge left you with Evan heartbroken. Now we get to see his story and how he pulls himself back up from the pain of losing Laney. Seeing him come into himself and learn who he really is makes you really enjoy seeing him get his HEA especially with an unlikely person!
While the story is primarily about Evan you do still get to see more of Laney and Dane's relationship unfold and see if Laney and Evan can fix their broken friendship. Told from all three POV you get to see how their story evolves and more hilarious antics from The Crew. Evan is such a sweetie, and watching him learn how to put himself out there again after what happened is at times funny enough to keep you rolling on the floor, but when he accepts who his one and only is you get to see his broken heart heal.
