Dani’s passion for writing started at a very young age. It all started with a multitude of diaries, then as her passion grew she turned to poetry and short stories. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at USC in Theatre with an unofficial minor in writing. While at USC she wrote her first screenplay and post-graduation was fortunate to be hired to write another screenplay. As family life got busy her passion was pushed aside, but as she fell back into the love of reading her desire to write again increased, so she returned to it in the summer of 2013. She is currently working on a YA Urban Fantasy Romance series, The Life of Arie, with book 1 already published, and a Romance Novel to be released on March 17, 2014. Prologue
There was a time in my life when the light within me shined so brightly. At some point I lost it. I lost me. Life used to course through my veins like an out of control wildfire, unstoppable and infectious. Time was supposed to heal, but all it did was slowly strip me down to an empty vessel void of passion, desire, and drive. I wanted to scream, “Be the one to save me,” but my soul was drained, my heart was shattered, and time had siphoned the life out of me.

Our 4 Star Review
This story began with a woman (Lennox) struggling with being a fireman's wife. She found it hard to raise two children when her husband (Dean) was barely around.
Lennox has struggled with depression from a very young age and being alone for a lot of her marriage makes things harder for her to handle.
The book flips back to the younger years of Lennox and you are able to see how Lennox and Dean met. You get to read about the struggles they faced throughout their relationship and how they got where they are today...
The remaining part of the review may contain spoilers...
When Lennox was sixteen she met Dean. She was instantly attracted and wanted to know him more. After they began spending time together their love grew.
When Dean went on tour with a band of his he ended up committing the ultimate betrayal and from that point things changed. Lennox had to learn to forgive and forget. The thing was she found comfort in the arms of someone else during that time. That someone else also happened to be a fellow friend of Dean's.
Lennox learned the hard way that She belong with Dean and after a year apart they found themselves back in each others arms.
Lennox thought that the marriage she shared with Dean had hit a dead end. She felt lonely and found that she once again was beginning to fall back into the days of depression.
I will just say that the last 15 to 20 % of this book had me in tears. It had my chest tightening and my throat burning. At times trying to see through the tears became extremely difficult.
"Lord, protect our firefighters. Keep them safe each day and night. Give them courage and strength on each rescue and fire they fight."
"A firefighters flame will never cease if it burns bright in the hearts of his loved ones, in the souls of the ones he tried to save, and in the memories of the lives he touched."
