Synopsis

An erotic paranormal romance… Dimitri LeBlanc, sexy and charismatic beta of Acadian Wolves, survives a brutal attack after his wolf succumbs to a dark force, threatening his very existence. Waking up, tied to a bed, his amusement transforms into lust as a beautiful stranger heals his beast. Intrigued by his mysterious savior, the tables quickly turn, when in the heat of a dark desert night, he rescues her from a barbaric Alpha. Dimitri is inexplicably drawn to the alluring woman, and the discovery that she’s his mate rouses his hunger to claim her as his own. Gillian Michel, a New York City photographer, conceals a secret hybrid past and mystical abilities. An entire lifetime, she’s deliberately avoided wolves, but a seductive encounter with an irresistible beta leaves her craving his touch, his lips on hers. Passion ignites her desire, leaving her yearning to submit to the powerful wolf who tests her sexual limits. Deep in the heart of New Orleans, Dimitri and Gillian seek a cure to the parasite maligning his mighty beast. Still on the run from a malevolent force, they lure their enemy into the bayou. Will Gillian sacrifice her gifts to save the man she loves, destroying her own immortality? And will Dimitri eradicate the evil that has invaded his soul while protecting his mate from an adversary who threatens to kill them both? Warning: This book contains several erotic love scenes and is intended for adult readers only.

4.5 Stars

Waking up tied to a be you'd think Dimitri would remember how he got there, but being injured by a rogue pack kinda knocked him off track. How did the half naked beauty save him and why can't he get her off his mind even when she says she doesn't need help?

Gillian knows it was her fault he was attacked and now she'll do whatever it takes to protect him even if it means endangering herself. She's got secrets galore that she'll do anything to protect, but when the handsome beta comes to her rescue keeping those secrets might be more difficult than she ever imagined.

Dimitri is an Alpha male in disposition, he might be a Beta in the pack but that's because it's his choice. He sees what he wants and goes for it even if it is a mate, when he wasn't sure he even wanted one before meeting her.

Gillian is independent, as is her nature, she's all about doing things herself. When she finds herself in the company of wolves she resists being submissive on the outside when inside she's enjoying the new side of herself.

Although part of a series I read this as a standalone and while there were obviously parts that talked about something from a previous book it worked very well on its own and I definitely enjoyed it and the storyline.
