Camilla knows people see a woman and think she's not a competent warrior, so she has to put up the toughest front possible so people see her for her abilities and not her "assets". Seeing playboy Marco try to use his act on her is not gonna fly especially when he seems to test her at every turn. She has a mission and Cam won't let anyone try to pull one over on her.
Marco hides behind a facade for a very good reason, so why is it he seems to keeps showing his true self to one very feisty woman. He's not trying to pull rank, or gender, on her so why is it she can't seem to trust him? And why does he care?
They both have jobs to do and before it's all over they'll have to learn to trust each other with their biggest secrets or risk losing their lives. As the mission goes on though they'll also have to decide if they can give in to their sizzling attraction or if it's all an act on the others part.
Camilla is a take no crap kinda girl, she doesn't trust easily and if you're not on her list of trusted people it'll take allot of convincing to get on it.
Marco is an Alpha male in the bedroom, but outside of it he knows when to give a person their dues and let them take the lead.
Their personalities might clash at times, but that's what made the story all the more fun. I enjoyed seeing more of this world and apart from the main story about Marco and Camilla you also see what else is happening with some of the other characters you got to know in book one. I'm having fun seeing the storyline grow and can't wait to see what happens next!
An undercover agent about to crack…

We met Jorge in Frozen Desires when he found out DEFEND could be his way to freedom. Now we see his story, how he got into the Collectors clutches and what he does to escape it. And who he blames for everything that happened to him the last 9 months.
Sabrina is at her end, everything shes done undercover for the last two years is getting to her, but she finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Never did she expect to see the one person shes called friend in the last few years or that he would blame her for what hes been through in the last few months.
They both have their share of problems and secrets, they should hate each other. So why is it every time they touch the sparks fly between them? If they ever want a chance at being together they'll have to come clean about their pasts and their secrets.
Jorge might have been a sweet boy once upon a time, but his recent experiences have changed him. He's tough and strong, he'll take charge and do what he has to in order to complete his mission.
Sabrina has done what she has had to in order survive. She knows when to keep quite and listen and how to get information. She's had to be tough and knows how to take care of herself, but likes being taken care of too.
These two have their ups and downs, between their missions and secrets, but once they figure each other out it could be a great thing if their open to it. I enjoyed this one and can't wait to see more of this series!
