What good is running AWAY when you only end up lost?
Cassandra Pierce had her whole "perfect" life planned out by her parents. One night of pure weakness and lust has her running away from it all and seeking refuge in Alamosa with her best friend. But it seems life has other plans for her when she finds herself lost in the small town of Keaton.
Jason Bradley is a charming country guy. He lives a simple life that’s nothing like what Cassandra is used to. A single moment in life changed everything he thought he once knew, leaving him with a broken heart and an unplanned future.
What happens in Keaton is nothing Cassandra or her heart could have ever prepared for. The instant connection she shares with Jason is no secret, but what they're keeping hidden from one another is. Will these two be able to find a way to trust each other or will their secrets tear them apart?
There are many different things that could be "away" and right now I'm Blown Away.
Cassie had the left her parents wanted her to have all planned out, problem was she didn't want it she did everything to please them, but all it did was leave her lost. One terrible mistake and Cassandra finds herself on her way to her best friend on the other side of Colorado, the GPS however had different ideas as did her car and a blown tire help her find herself. And Jason. He is her Knight in Shining Armor right when everything looks it's worst he's her light. Though their circumstances are unique what they find together is truly amazing he saves her but Cassie doesn't realize that she saved him too. They both have secrets that come out and though hers you already knew finding out his gives you quite a shock. Just when you think you know what's going to happen this story rips you to shreds. Have you tissues ready and just when you think you won't need them think again. Loved this story loved Cassie and most definitely LOVED Jace.
Fate took Cassandra down a path she never expected.
Then a small town in Colorado gave her exactly what she needed—until tragedy left her heartbroken and devastated. Alone with only her child and her memories, Cassie struggled to put her life back together, one day at a time, piece by piece. Finding love again was something she never thought possible. That was, until she ran into an unlikely stranger who flipped her entire world on its axis.
Aidan had a secret locked away in his heart; one that would surely send Cassie running the second she discovered it. He held onto her closely and kept his secret guarded, but one careless mistake could reveal all.
Their friendship was strong, their moments beautiful, and the love that brewed between them intense—something neither denied. The only problem? Cassie was slowly letting him into her life. Could she let herself get close to the one person she didn’t think she should?
Her mind tells her to run, but her heart tells her to stay.
In my review for book one I said I was "blown away" and here in this one I'll say there was no way I'd "stay away" from reading this one ASAP.
Be prepared to keep the tissues close by once again as you read this emotional story about continuing to live after you lose someone you love. Cassie lost Jason, but now a year later she has a chance at forever with someone else if only she's willing to try.
Aidan doesn't know why his brother asked him to keep an eye on her, but Jason knew what he was doing. The connection between these two in undeniable and you can see the sparks from the first moment no matter how hard they try to keep from crossing that invisible line with each other.
Tboth have secrets and pain from their losses but when their together you see how happy they make each other. They have their issues to work out, and that's what this story is all about. How they continued on after something so horrible happened to them makes you see that it is possible.
This is one journey I have loved from start to finish and while their story is over I'm excited to see more of this series as other characters find their forever's.
