In Cupid, Texas, they say everyone has one true love. And if you write a letter to Cupid, you will get an answer in return . . .
Now, from New York Times bestselling author Lori Wilde, read how the legend of Cupid began . . . All it took was one great love story!
Too bad for pretty young housemaid Millie Greenwood that her one true love is John Fant, the handsomest, wealthiest man in town. But in 1924, a maid—no matter how lovely—isn't about to marry into the town's foremost family, and John is on the verge of becoming betrothed to another. Everything seems hopeless until Millie writes a desperate letter to Cupid, and the most romantic legend of all is born . . .

My rating: 4 stars

Millie is a girl in 1924 who knows her place in life, she has no hopes of ever reaching beyond her means and that life. John comes in on the worst day of her life giving the worst news, but from that horrible event come a new life. Given a chance she never expected it also gives her a life she never dreamed working as a maid for the wealthiest family around living in a larger town the her home she sees the world as it's changing. But she also finds love, unfortunately for her loving a man above her station and being able to be with him is still impossible even in these more modern times.

Millie is strong and smart she knows her place in the and even though she might not agree with it she never acts out. John is sweet and cares for the people around him. He's had everything dropped at his feet his entire but he didn't let it corrupt him instead he uses his means to help others. The two were forbidden but I loved their scenes and how they fell for each other.

See how this series started and the legend that started it all. This is my first glance into this series and I'm definitely excited to see more of it!

My rating: 4 stars

Living in Cupid, Texas the idea of true love isn't just wishful thinking, it's the truth period. But after 29 years of waiting for her prince charming she's beginning to give up, until she rides past HIM. Half naked next to his motorcycle, he's hers she just knows it. Everything she ever heard of love at first sight seems to have been right. But even with her beliefs firmly in place she has a hard time accepting it.

Dade came to town for one reason and one reason only, to find his foster brother Red. So why is it that the goddess in the yellow dress seems to have touched him down to his core? There's something about her that calls on him to trust her, to be with her no matter what. But when you've never believed in that stuff before what will it take to change your way of thinking? Plus he's determined to find Red, after everything he's ever done for him Dade is determined to to everything he can for his best friend. Can he navigate his new found feelings for Natalie, find Red and uncover if the picturesque town of Cupid is really hiding something sinister?

Natalie has compassion in spades, she's there for everyone taking care of them and trusting that this is as good as life can get. She has dreams, but with a bum leg she thinks she'll never get far beyond Cupids borders and live life like she really wishes she could. She believes there's good in everyone.

Dade is jaded. He's been on the rougher side of life long all his life and his faith in humanity is almost nonexistent. He's tough and strong and for his brother he has absolute loyalty. He's a hero even if he doesn't believe it doing what he can to help others and being a good guy while still trying to keep people at a distance.

Natalie finds a way to burrow under his defences and there's no helping opening and letting her in. Natalie has scars, but so does Dade and seeing them come together and find themselves in each other was amazing. I loved their story and I definitely loved the legend's created in the story, helping you feel connected to the town and the characters in it!!!

All Out of Love (Cupid, Texas, #2)

From bestselling romance author Lori Wilde comes All Out of Love, the sizzling second book in her Cupid, Texas, series, set in a town where every wish for love comes true.

Millie Greenway and her friends have tried for years to keep the Cupid legend alive in their hometown, but she’s not getting much help from her granddaughters. Lace Bettingfield knows the legend is bogus. As a teen, she left a letter at the Cupid statue and got nothing in return but humiliation. But now the guy she dreamed of is back in town, Lace begins to wonder if the tale might just prove to be true.

All Out of Love features the humor and heartfelt emotion that fans have come to expect from the author of The First Love Cookie Club and A Cowboy for Christmas.

My rating: 4 stars

Lace had one of the most embarrassing things possible happen to her in high school, a letter no one was ever meant to read published in the school paper declaring her love for the high school quarterback. It could have destroyed her but now 12 years later she back in Cupid and stronger than ever. Until Pierce comes waltzing back into town when his father is ill.

Pierce was the big guy in town in high school and now his football career is going up in flames with an injury he's determined to overcome. He's not back in Cupid to lick his wounds he's here to help his dad and then he'll go back to doing what he does best, playing football. What he wasn't expecting was Lace, she's nothing like she was in high school she's feisty and all grown up. He wants her, she won't let him in.

They are both determined to make the most of their lives, but they don't realize just how hollow things are until they come together. They have to get over past hurts and present problems, but if they can do that they might just have a chance a true happiness.

The next story in the series we see more of Cupid and it fun characters while also seeing another couple get their happily ever after. I loved Lace's feistiness and Pierce's determination when he see something he wants. These two are the perfect combination of sass and sultry bringing in their big personalities to make for one fun story.

4.5 Stars
Jericho is back in town trying to get his dream job at the college, what he wasn't expecting was the feelings he's has suppressed for his best friend for years to boil over and make themselves knows like never before.

Zoey is considered flaky, just because she can't decide on a career, or a boyfriend. Growing up in Cupid she believed her love would be instant and at first sight not come creeping for her best friend. But now is their time to maybe see where things are going. Right? With him suddenly becoming her teacher for an archeology dig and secrets coming to light about her family's history their time might be a bit off after all.

Jericho is strong and reliable, smart and caring and all around a great guy. He's had a run of bad luck but he won't let it keep him down. When he's determined about something nothing can get in his way.

Zoey is a free bird and the baby of the family so she's always been a bit spoiled, now that she's finally found a career she loves though people doubt her because of her past and she's determined to prove them wrong.

She brings him spontaneity and helps him see life without the scientist eyes. He help to ground her while still encouraging her to be herself. These two are so sweet and their story is my favorite so far. I'm loving this series and how it continues to grow from the previous stories that have come out.
