RJ Scott has been writing since age six when she was made to stay in at lunchtime for an infraction involving cookies and was told to write a story. Two sides of A4 about a trapped princess later, a lover of writing was born. She reads anything from thrillers to sci-fi to horror; however, her first real love will always be the world of romance. From billionaires, bodyguards and cowboys to SEALs, throwaways and veterinarians, she writes passionate stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and more than a hint of happily ever after.
Jay just lost his job in New York and weeks, and a little bit of desperation have him accepting a job in Montana and moving his sister and her kids with him.
Nate isn't sure about getting a business manager and is less than thrilled with some city guy coming in without a clue.
Neither we're looking for a relationship but a fresh start can help bring even the most stubborn together.
A lot of the story has to do with Jay and his family getting settled on the ranch and him working to bring the business to a better place, so once you really get to the romance side of the story you're deeply invested in the characters. I loved Jay's sass and zest for life and his determination to always be there for his family.
Nate may be I'm unsure at times but once he decides what he wants he's all in, even if he is afraid of what might happen. I do wish we could have seen a little more growth from him outside of the relationship aspect such as his uncertainty with the business side of things, but overall enjoyed his character too.
All of the supporting characters were also very well written and while you got a better glimpse at some of them, others were left more open ended which I am excited to see more of in the books to come!
