*****I am in no way surprised that I love this book. It seems that each one just gets better. Carol is a character we've met in the previous two books, but we really knew nothing about her! Her story will make your heart squeeze. What I love about Maryann's books is that they are not just one thing. There is romance, intrigue, friendship, and all of the elements needed for a good read. Even sick it was hard to put it down. *****Ahh What can I say that I haven't already about Maryann? LOVE this woman and her writing. After reading the first book in this series I didn't think anyone could replace my love for Jake and Emma...then came book 2 and I didn't know who to love more them or Laurie and Rob....now its book 3 with Carol and Tom, LOVE LOVE LOVE these 2. ***** MaryAnn has hit another homer! All of her books are relatable and I can see being friends with these characters. I enjoyed experiencing Carol and Tom's journey in their self discovery and also the journey to help bring them together. This is a story about "surviving" family, being comfortable in your own skin, and letting love work it's magical, healing powers. Author Maryann JordanAuthorBioHeader
I am an avid reader of romance novels, often joking that I cut my teeth on the old bodice rippers. I have been reading and reviewing for years. In 2013, I started the book blog, Lost in Romance Books and promoted indie authors, as well as beta read, basic editing and proofing books. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head, screaming for their story to be told. From these musings, my first novel, Emma’s Home, The Fairfield Series Book 1 was born. I am a high school counselor having worked in education for thirty years. I live in Virginia, having also lived in four states and two foreign countries. I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for thirty two years and am the mother to two adult daughters. When writing, my dog or one of my four cats can generally be found in the same room if not on my lap. Please take time to leave a review of this book (on Goodreads, Amazon). Reviews are the lifeline for indie authors. Feel free to contact me, especially if you enjoyed my book. I love to hear from readers! Review of Carol's Image
4 STARS!

This series is great. I love being able to learn the background of each character and following them each through their journey's to find love.

Carol didn't have support parents in fact they were very judgmental and cruel in my opinion. To worried about their social circle and keeping up with the perfect family image, they neglected the needs of their daughter.
In turn she suffers the lasting effects of their neglect throughout her life and each day is a struggle. Until she meets the the hunky god Tom...
This man gave her a sense of purpose. He challenges her and at times frustrates her with his dominance and need to be in control but that man loves her. He let's her know how special she is and helps her through the struggles of her life. He stands by her with NO hesitation.
Tom and Carol are adorable together and following their path to love was a great one.
I have greatly enjoyed this Series...Thank you MaryAnn Jordan for allowing me to follow the Journey of these three hunky ass men and the women they have chosen to love...

4.5 Star Review

Emma never once complained about raising her pre teen niece when she should've been living it up in college. She takes care of everyone never thinking of herself, now at 31 she moves to the town her niece moved to a year ago because the two just can't be apart. She never expected how much her life would change with the move.

Jake is a detective and that alone makes it hard for him to find time for a relationship, but add in the fact that he lives with his mother and his prospects and pretty much zero. Until Emma comes in and brightens his life. He's determined to have her, but first he has to get through her independent ways.

As the two become closer Emma discovers oddities at her high school and deciding weather or not to tell Jake could be the biggest fight they've had yet. I enjoyed the sweet story between the two, Jake has those fun caveman tendencies and Emma's fiery attitude make for a fun combination. Their caring natures work together to help them be stronger as a team than they are apart, but their personalities make it all the more fun to read about. I enjoyed all the secondary characters and what they brought o the story as well. This is a great read and an amazing start to this series. Excited to see more of Fairfield and it's couples.

4 Stars

In book one we met Laurie and and Emma. That story focused more on Emma's background and life with Laurie throughout the storyline...

In Book Two we are given the chance to find out more about Laurie and her struggles. How she came to Fairfield and fell in love with the town and it's people.
We are given the chance to discover how Rob became her man...the guy she chose to live her life loving daily. In the beginning they struggled to get over his past. He was what you could call a Man Whore of sorts. He never committed and never spent the night with any woman after they hooked up. He would be on his way until he found the gorgeous girl in the grocery store. From that point on he was hooked and sunk. The way she made him feel there was no coming back from.
He fell and fell hard right along with her.

He helps her through a life changing struggle and stood by her side when she needed him most. Yes he messed up and yes they had troubles but the love they share help them strong and carried them through it all.

It was great to have a little background into their story. In book one they were already together and you knew they were meant to be but having the story behind their love just makes them that much more lovable.
