Synopsis
Sabrina's life was a mess, suspended from her police job, she ran to
Vegas for a break, to escape the torment and embarrassment. She followed this
up by getting blind drunk and down an alleyway with two thugs who wanted more
than a goodnight kiss. Kyle, a vampire, hears her scream and against his better
judgement enters the alley and saves her. As she collapses into his arms he had
a deep need to take her home? He never takes anyone to his home! Soon Sabrina
is ingrained in him - he can't get enough - can't let her go and just why are
his bites not healing on her neck? When he finds out he is shocked - he must
keep her - make her stay! Will she? Will this woman stay in the arms of a
vampire?

“Here,one perfect red rose for another
perfect red rose.”
Kyle handed her the rose and kissed her
gently on the side of her lips.
Sabrina held the rose and looked down at
it. It was the exact shade of her gown. A perfect match. She smiled up at Kyle
and she knew she had a tear or two in her eyes.

The
taxi driver’s voice interrupted her pondering. “We’re here.”
She
hadn’t even realized the car had stopped, or that he had got out and retrieved
her case from the rear. The door on the passenger side open as he stuck his
head in.
“Oh,
thank you.” she mumbled as she handed over the cash to pay and took her case,
before heading inside the terminal.
The
airport was busy, as usual, but not too bad and it wasn’t long ‘til she was
through to the departure lounge. Once again wondering on her decision to go to
Vegas. Using up savings that she’ll probably need in the coming months. “If I
don’t get away I’ll go nuts!” She thought as she waited patiently for the
boarding call.
Opening
her kindle, she tried to read, the words blurring together again and again,
before she finally boarded the plane. Settling down in her seat she looked out
the small window to her left. Watching her home city of Glasgow as they started
to taxi for take-off. As the plane picked up speed, the wheels leaving the
ground she felt a sense of relief like never before.
“First
thing I’m doing is getting drunk!” She thought, no idea
the life changing repercussions that decision would have.

Sabrina screwed up big time and it cost her, her job. She needs an escape and Vegas is just the place, but as a cop she should've known better than to get drunk and end up in a dark alley.
Kyle doesn't interfere in human things, so why did he save the woman with the Scottish brogue?
As the two get to know each the chemistry is off the charts, but could it be something more?
Sabrina is strong and sure of herself, except when it comes to her love life. She's is not one to tick off, but if you do she'll kick your butt.
Kyle is lonely even if he didn't realize it until Sabrina. Hes also get a dominate streak a mile wide.
These two steam things up between the sheets, and the in the shower, and the car, and... well you get it. It's hot and I loved the story there as well. Watching them as they figure things out was fun and interesting!

“What're you smiling
about vampire?” Sabrina saw the look on his face, it was pure lust and her
heart started to beat faster.
“Oh I'm just thinking
on what we're going to be doing in a very short time baby, that's all.” Kyle
turned to Sabrina, he already heard her heart starting to beat faster. He could
sense her arousal and she wore that little flush she got when she was sexually
excited.
“And what's that
exactly?” Sabrina asked, she held her breath waiting on his answer.
“Well if I told you
it would spoil the surprise now wouldn't it?” Kyle smirked and Sabrina's lips
twitched in a small smile.
They arrived quickly,
due to the speed of Kyle's driving, and he pulled off the road until they were
completely unseen from any prying eyes.
Sabrina looked around
and saw that they were hidden from the road and surrounded by trees. She hadn't
been here before.
Kyle switched the
engine off, unbuckled his seat-belt, and turned towards Sabrina. “Come over
here baby.” Kyle held his arms out and she slid over to him. As soon as she was
near enough Kyle moved his seat backwards and grabbed her and pulled her onto
his knee.

“You get paid well and all this is irrelevant, isn't it? As
you've worked for me for a long time I will give you one chance Mistress, one
only. Leave now, with nothing but what you are wearing, and I'll let you live.”
Kyle's body was so full of his energy that it hurt. He needed a release and
knew he would get it.
There was no way she would go quietly. He had to offer
though.
A split second before the bitch moved Thomas grabbed
Sabrina and pushed her behind him. His body making sure that he was between the
Mistress and her. Sabrina caught only glimpses of what entailed, but it was
anything but pretty.
Mistress Blood now wore her long black evening gloves;
having put them on earlier when she thought there might be a problem. In her
hand she held a long sharp knife, a silver knife. One she used to get rid of
any Supers that she felt got out of line. Wolves, Vamps – silver worked on
both.
She had no intention of losing her position here. The money
she was making was immense, it gave her so many options. She could buy what she
wanted, when she wanted, and she was not giving that up easily. Kyle must be
mad if he thought she would.

Sabrina and Kyle are soul mates, and they've now been together more than 6 months.
Kyle is about to take on another job, but he doesn't want to lie or hide what he does from his mate. But how will she take it when she finds out what he does to make his money?
Sabrina has grown comfortable with her new life. She's happy and with Kyle she always feels safe. When she learns of Kyles extra circular activities she'll have to dig deep to figure out how she feels about it all.
In this one there's still lots of hot, steamy moments, but you also see more story as we continue to learn more about these two. They both have a tendency to take things in stride, until pushed to the limits and them it was a blast to watch them blow up at each other!

Kyle hit the button on his phone to call Josef. Four rings
later, he answered in a very annoyed tone.
“What!” Josef snapped and Kyle wondered what was up with the
man.
“I’m on my way home, and the fucker’s behind me in a
large, dark SUV,” Kyle said, keeping his eyes on the road.
“Do you have GPS in your phone?” Josef asked in a far more
sociable tone.
“Yes, it’s enabled,” Kyle knew what Josef had in mind and
was a little relieved he didn't have to start giving directions as to where he
was, with the speed he was going, the directions would be old as soon as he
said them.
“Do not engage, Kyle, leave it to my men,” Josef ordered,
and Kyle bristled at the tone, only his Sire had ever spoken to him in such a
manner.
“Okay, as I’m not far from the house, I’ll do that. Make
it fast,” he snapped, worry now worming its way inside his stomach.
He dropped his phone in his jacket pocket and continued
driving, glancing in the mirror, as he did so.
He was now only about ten minutes away from home, and he
sure as hell wasn’t bringing this guy back there. If Donovan and his men didn't
appear soon, he was going to pull over and take this guy on. Gabe had told him
the Vamp was old and powerful...well, so was he...not as powerful as Josef or
Boyd, of course, but damn powerful all the same. No way was he letting this
sicko get to his home, and more importantly, to Sabrina.

She looked between the two - wondering how they could take such things
in their stride “When you have lived as long as we have, you tend to not get
too excited about things. I have lived so long that I sometimes forget my
youth. It seems as if it was another person, another life, and not my own.”
Boyd's voice now held a wistful tone, and she wondered what it would be like to
live for so many centuries.
“We’re only starting, baby, you’ll find out for yourself. You’ll be at
my side for a very long time,” with a smile on his face, Kyle moved closer and
kissed her on the nose.
She guessed he was right, she was now his mate, and she knew he put some
of his blood into her food at times, to keep her
young and healthy. It was only now that the realization that she would, in
fact, live for centuries struck home.
Centuries...she would live for centuries ...with her mate at her side.

Uh oh a job from Kyles past has come back to haunt him, and the man after his mate is more dangerous them anyone realized.
If you thought there were blow outs between the two mates before, now it's epic, with Kyle keeping secrets and Sabrina's cop since letting her know he is.
Even with all the troubles the two are always there for each other and they face everything together. Kyle gets what it feels like to want to keep your mate safe, but needing help. And Sabrina has become even more kick butt than ever before.
I've enjoyed the story of these two and getting to know them, just make sure when you're reading you keep a fan near by so you don't heat up too much! ;)
