“Their writing is steamy, ridiculously funny, and highly entertaining, yet also insightful and observant. I have loved each book in the Paradise series...” ~ Books and Binding
“I LOVED this book. The characters of Patience (maybe by name but definitely NOT by nature) and Abel had me crying with laughter at times throughout this book. And Patience's one liners and insults to Abel were just fabulous.”~ Goodreads Reviewer
Sarah O'Rourke is the alter ego of two best friends who have taken their passion for romantic fiction and erotica to the publishing world. Born and raised in the southern United States, one lives near Louisville, KY, while the other resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Neither is ever very far from a tall glass of sweet iced tea, their dog-eared copies of Gone With the Wind, or their Steel Magnolias DVDs!
Formerly an accountant and a chemist, they are now overworked, stay-at-home moms who adore their children, their husbands...and writing about love in every way possible!
Abel wants nothing more than to prove himself to the one woman he cares about more than any other, but when that person is Patience McKinnon getting inside her shield will prove to test every bit of his patience. He is strong and can talk an Eskimo into buying ice, but every time he talks to Patience his tongue gets tied into knots and he only manages to make an idiot of himself.
These two are oil and water, fire and ice. They are at each others throats at every turn, but when their lips are busy doing other things they manage to get along. It's the rest of the time they have to figure out how to get along especially when the past knocks them both on their butts and danger finds them in their sleepy little town once again.
I loved seeing the push and pull between these two and once again when it comes to the McKinnon you get a ton of laughs with every chapter. I enjoyed seeing more of the storyline as a whole and can't wait for the conclusion that is yet to come!
