Synopsis
New edited version -07/04/2014

Julia Taylor works as a recruitment consultant for Paranormal Personnel in London. Her normal day at the office consists of seeing clients, searching for new vacancies, updating CVs and visiting employers.

It seems as though she has an ordinary life but in reality Julia is half elf and she works for a recruitment agency for paranormals.

She is normally calm, confident and is not afraid to stand up for herself, but when the meeting with La Caz Corporation doesn’t go as well as she hoped, she wants to bury herself under the ground and die.

Nathaniel La Caz is a player and he wants to seduce Julia. The incredible sexual chemistry that builds up between them complicates her life to the point where she can’t control her magic. La Caz not only wants her but he also has a craving for her blood. Then her ex-boyfriend Jasper comes back on the scene and nearly exposes the whole paranormal world to humans when trying to protect her.

It doesn't end well when vampires and elves mix. The problems start escalating when Julia witnesses the kidnapping of her cousin Claudia on the busy street. From then on things only go from bad to worst. More elves and fairies begin to vanish in London without trace and the police suspect vampires. Julia is determined to find Claudia even if it means she will get herself into more trouble.

*Adult Paranormal Romance novel - contains adult situations, graphic sexuality, violence, suited for ages 18 and up*

Our 3.5 Star Review

Julia works in a recruitment office helping paranormal creatures find jobs usually with paranormal companies that the human world knows nothing about. When a huge contract lands on her desk she meets the owner of a company and spanks fly, or more accurately flames, but not the point with Nathaniel La Caz being a vampire she knows better than to go out with him being and elf whose blood intoxicates vampires. Bad mix and all, but her traitorous body won't let her forget him and the magic he bring out in her is off the charts. Between trying to figure out what kind of a relationship they have and her crazy work schedule you'd think she's got plenty on her plate but there also her crazy ex, and her cousin's kidnapping and friends and family at every turn telling her what she should do.

Julia is a strong female and she doesn't take crap very well from anyone even a very persistent vampire. Job is crazy and her life even crazier but she seems to balance it all very well. Nathaniel is hot and cavemanish when he's around, but when he's not it's like he dropped off the face of the earth and I loved how Julia told him how it was and how she wouldn't put of with that kind of stuff.

Where I found the story was lacking was in the details, being book 1 in a new series you'd expect more explanation of the creatures but you were constantly left scrambling to figure out who was who and what they were capable off those details would've made it easier to deliver into the world the author created. There was also her working hours shifting between night and day I could never figure out why it was constantly changing apart from vampires I didn't understand why other creatures couldn't come during the day so in that since I was left confused about her work life.

Overall the story kept me entertained and interested and I'm interested to see where the series goes.
