Lorraine Britt is a fourth generation Native Texan who is also immensely proud of her Louisiana heritage and solid Southern roots. As an enthusiastic lover of the written word, inspiration struck Lorraine and she began to bubble over with her own ideas. Grasping hold of her lifelong dreams, it wasn’t long before she was putting pen to paper and letting her fingers fly over a keyboard to bring her own characters to life. When she isn’t busy scribbling notes for her next idea you might find her whipping up delicious creations in the kitchen or putting miles on her car on road trip adventures. Lorraine is equally passionate about music, movies and sports. You’ll no doubt find these familiar themes woven throughout her books. Lorraine and her family currently make their home in northeast Texas.

4 Stars

Mary Elizabeth has writers block BAD, her publisher has been on her for months for a new novel but inspiration is lacking.  Until a dream changes everything. Waking up at 2AM with the best kind of inspiration she sets to work and except for taking care of her son works for more than 24 hours straight churning out a novel with a certain blue eyed man as her main character a man she dreams about every night from then on.

Cody is finishing up his latest movie when a friend insists he reads a book where the character is HIM, she insists he finds a way to find the elusive author and convince her to let him make a movie with him as the lead and when he reads the book he sees exactly what she means. It quickly becomes a journey that he never knew he needed to take. He dreams every night about a woman with auburn hair he's determined to find the author so he can show this book to the world with him as the main character. He never expected that the story really was written with him in mind, but he realizes just how special Mary is and that God brought her to him. She has a past that makes it hard for her to accept him but working together could be the best thing they've ever done.

I absolutely love the story the way the characters were written and how they interacted you can see just how much they really needed each other. You see how they complement one another and bring out the best in each other.  Mary Beth has been scared by her past but she's done everything she can to make the most of her life you can feel how she comes to life with Cody as the story progresses. Cody is sweet and caring his thoughtfulness throughout shows just how much he cares about the woman who came into his life so suddenly. I loved how open they were to each other and the possibilities and I definitely enjoyed how Tommy was brought in and balanced everything out and was a part of the story and not just a side character.
Very enjoyable read this is one I definitely recommend
