OUR 4 Star REVIEW
Dimitri has been taking orders since he was 15. Not because he wanted to but because he had to, as a Jin whatever his Master commands he is forced to fulfill. When suddenly the wishes come back to back he realizes some things going on, but he can't figure out what. His only reprieve is Syd, usually he only does one night stands but she just won't give up and he keeps giving in. There's something different about her if only he had the time to figure it out, but with Karl sending him about on wish after wish he just doesn't have the time. Until suddenly their paths seem to intersect in the most unlikely of ways.
I enjoyed the basic storyline of this one told solely from Dimitri's POV. Where I was left wanting was in the details, although by the end you understand what was going on there were times throughout that I just wanted more from what I was reading. Dimitri is a good guy at heart but he's been forced into doing unsavory things for so long he's become diluted to his life. Syd is his happiness and she helps him see there's more to life than how he's been living it. Syd is feisty and a little bit of crazy you don't know much more than that for a long time but when you finally do it's just facts there's not allot of emotion to it. In the end most everything you questioned is answered, and you're left with a story you would've never seen the ending to.
