Pulled Beneath (Bar Harbor Series, #1)by Marni Mann

What happens when you uncover years of secrets and find out everything you thought to be true was a lie?

Drew Stevens finds her world turned upside down when her parents are brutally murdered. Soon after, she learns she inherited a property in Bar Harbor, Maine, from recently deceased grandparents that she believed had died when she was a baby.

Drew travels north to settle her grandparents’ estate, but finds more questions than answers as the truth starts unraveling. What she didn’t expect to find was Saint, whose reputation is as tumultuous as his past. But the very thing that brings them together is the same thing that keeps them emotionally caged.

With Saint's scars so deep and Drew's so fresh, can the pair heal from their painful wounds or will they be pulled beneath the darkness of their pasts?

Our 4.5 Star Review

Drew has had her life flipped on it's head. With her parents death's and news about Grandparents she never knew existed she goes on  journey to Maine to see the house she inherited. She meant to sell it and get on with her life in Florida, but sometimes the journey becomes your destination. Learning so much about her mother and meeting new people at every turn who will have the biggest impact of her life?

Saint has secrets and demons of his own, but something keeps drawing them together. He knows what Drew's going through in a way no one else could and has the ability to help heal her pain, if their both willing to open up and be truthful about their paths.

Drew has allot of pain inside her and going along with her journey you see how she hurts and how she tries to heal. You feel like you're a part of her as she deals with the darkness inside she and see how she tries to overcome it. Saint is mysterious in some ways but open in so many others he's complex and he's easy to understand I loved getting to know him and sharing his pain too. Watching these two find each other and help one another you get to be a part of their journey and it's one I definitely enjoyed.

The next book will be about other characters in the series but you'll get more of Drew and Saint and I can't wait to see what's next.
