Our 4 Star Review

While this could be read as a standalone novel I recommend reading Laid Bear book 1 first so you see the characters Max and Bethany and their story.

This is the story of Veronica a werebear widow with twins "cubs" and Jess a human. You see more of the problems the shifter world has with mixed breeding and how it affects those how care for a human. You also see more of Max and Bethany and the continuation of their story and her pregnancy. And you get to see their online dating business working first hand with Veronica and Jess.

I loved see the characters incorporated into this novel , but also making a new couple a part of the story as well. Watching where the were was a female this time you got to see a whole new set of problems and how everyone is affected. I enjoyed watching Max and his freak outs over Beth's pregnancy and his Alpha male attitude about trying to keep her safe. Watching Veronica be strong and feminine throughout the story you see her trying to balance between her love life and her boys and the clan's attitude towards humans and her still being fierce and trying to do what's right for her. Excited to see more of this series and how the story will take off in future books.
